Responsibilities
Reporting to the Sr. Director- Growth Channels, the Sales Director, is a key contributor in continued development of go to market strategies that drive growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the growth agenda and executing effective strategies to facilitate profitable sales growth within the defined categories managed. The successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial drive and passion to drive transformational growth and an ability to be data driven.
+ Inspire the sales team to help drive Albertsons and Safeway performance vs. plan (AOP delivery), share, revenue, and margin targets
+ Develop accurate demand plans and addresses gaps in customer strategic plan
+ Develop relationships with key choice makers at the management, executive level within assigned accounts
+ Orchestrate customer business reviews focused on sales results, new item performance, and growth opportunities
+ Collaborates with broker representatives who serve as a resource for market growth opportunities, proposals and programs
+ Responsible for hiring, training, developing, motivating, and evaluating managers to achieve division and company goals and objectives. Develops current and future sales leaders
+ Leads account planning process for top accounts and deelops the strategic and tactical plan for business with specific customers
+ Implement proven fact-based selling techniques, analysis, and reporting, utilizing IRI (Information Resources Inc.) and other reputable industry resources to make recommendations and develop action plans
+ Collaborate with various internal teams to create winning business propositions that benefit Bob Evans and the customer (Category Management, Trade Management, Brand, Shopper Marketing, and E-Commerce)
+ Champions Bob Evans culture and values, models leading practices and behaviors
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related discipline, or a combination of experience and education.
+ Minimum of eight years of well-rounded sales/sales management experience in positions of increasing responsibility.
+ Five to seven years of leadership experience with the ability to motivate and embrace team-based professional development.
+ Results Driven with a proven track record of trade channel/customer expansion.
+ Prior experience within CPG industry calling on a major customer required.
+ Prior experience calling on Albertsons/ Safeway preferred.
The pay range for this position is $113,987 - $177,820 per year.
