Program: Care Corps Behavioral Health Training Program
Reports To: Assigned Senior Occupational Therapist Supervisor
Salary Range: $85,000 - $90,000

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential duties of the Occupational Therapist include but are not limited to the following activities:
+ Conduct individualized assessments of work readiness and functional skills, including task performance, to identify areas where support or intervention is needed.
+ Design and facilitate life skills training workshops and one-on-one OT sessions on topics such as emotional regulation and executive functioning, goal setting, time management, and professional communication.
+ Develop and implement individualized interventions to support trainee engagement, skill development, and workplace readiness.
+ Collaborate with the Workforce Development team to connect clients with essential resources (e.g., childcare, behavioral health support, benefits, transportation) to sustain program participation and success.
+ Share key assessment insights with the team to inform individualized support plans and prepare clients for appropriate employment opportunities.
+ Participate in team meetings to review client progress, adapt goals, and ensure services remain responsive throughout program enrollment.
+ Contribute to data collection and outcomes tracking to measure the impact of OT interventions on client engagement, program completion, and job retention.
+ Provide supervision or mentorship to OT interns as appropriate.
+ Participate in weekly supervision with assigned OT supervisor.
Qualifications:
+ Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) in New York State.
+ Prior experience providing services in community-based behavioral health or social service settings is preferred.
+ Demonstrated understanding of the relationship between functional skills, mental health, and employment readiness.
+ Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to travel independently to training sites in the field.
