Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

Summary:
The Outcomes Associate has knowledge and skills in computers, database management, research data collection, and presentation. Must possess strong interpersonal skills and time management capabilities. Education requirements: A bachelor's degree is preferred, and past experience is strongly considered. Adheres to system and department compliance policies and any applicable laws and regulations.
The Outcomes Associate provides exceptional service to internal and external customers. Will effectively perform data abstraction and input for registries/databases and execute data management responsibilities.
The incumbent will assist with data collection/management required to support research projects. Works effectively as a team member and shares workload in an equitable manner. Demonstrates an understanding and skill in the use of data management and retrieval for the Neurosciences specific program
This description covers the essential functions of the position. The incumbent is expected to perform other similar and related duties as assigned.
Job Responsibilities:
**1)** Coordinates all aspects of data maintenance for the quality outcomes office and assigned projects
**2)** Monitors the collection of all assigned variables in an accurate and timely manne
**3)** Collate variables into a clearly presentable format for review.
**4)** Formats necessary data for research presentations as requested by the Neurosciences program coordinator, Outcomes RNs, Service Line Leaders, or Physician partners
**5)** Prepares data for presentation to Performance Improvement teams and selected service leaders on request.
**6)** Is knowledgeable regarding computer software and works in tandem with the System Administrator and IS to manage and troubleshoot the clinical outcomes database.
**7)** Acts as hospital liaison with state and national databank registry organizations and stays current with membership requirements
**8)** Submits specified outcome data to state and national data registries per program requirements.
**9)** Perform data abstraction and input for registries/databases and execute Neurosciences specific program data management responsibilities
**10)** Demonstrates positive interactions with patients, physicians, and staff.
**11)** Organizes records so that an audit may be conducted at any point without special effort.
**12)** Demonstrates respect for patient confidentiality and rights.
**13)** Demonstrates strong interdepartmental/intradepartmental collaboration and internal customer responsiveness
**14)** Works in tandem with Outcomes RNs to ensure completeness of data collected for internal needs as well as external submission processes.
**15)** Organizes and transmits data within HIPPA guidelines on time and in a smoothly organized fashion.
**16)** Makes data available internally.
**17)** Maintains accurate and complete patient records as required by department policies.
**18)** Assists with data collection/management required to support research projects.
Qualifications
Unless otherwise required by certification, licensure, or registration, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the minimally required education and/or experience listed in the Qualifications section below.
