Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (School Setting)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 3:15 PM (35 hours/week)
Assignment Dates: January 5, 2026 – April 2, 2026
Opportunity to shadow current SLP for 7 days before Winter Break.
Position Overview
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide evaluation and therapy services to elementary school students in accordance with individualized plans of care and physician orders. This role focuses on supporting students with communication disabilities to minimize the impact on academic success.
Key Responsibilities
+ Conduct student evaluations and develop treatment plans.
+ Deliver and document therapy services per established care plans.
+ Collaborate with school staff and families to support student progress.
+ Maintain compliance with professional standards and state regulations.
Minimum Requirements
+ Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License in Illinois.
+ Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; may be required by state/contract.
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable).
+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable).
+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
+ Minimum age: 18 years.
Position Details
+ Modality: SLP-CCC (In-Person Only)
+ Age Group: Elementary School (Grades 1–5)
+ Caseload: Approximately 30 students (manageable size)
+ Team Support: Sole SLP for the elementary school; collaboration with an experienced middle school SLP.
