Special Education Teacher (Elementary Resource – Split Campus)
Contract Dates: ASP – May 2026
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Position Overview
The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides quality services to K-12 students. This role requires a strong commitment to collaboration, including planning and implementing individualized student programs, delivering specialized instruction, offering tutorial assistance, and consulting with general education staff.
Minimum Requirements
+ Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching (preferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching (preferred)
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching (preferred)
+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
+ Minimum of one year in a teaching environment (preferred)
+ Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)
+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Grade Levels: PreK – 6th Grade
+ Support Staff: Paras
+ Group or 1:1 Support (Paras, BTs, Nurses): N/A
+ Caseload: N/A
+ Testing Requirements: N/A
