The Targeted Protein Degradation (TPD) Proteomics Core within the Fischer Lab at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute serves as a resource for the Cancer Biology Department, aiding investigators in answering key research questions using mass spectrometry-based proteomics.
We employ quantitative chemoproteomic and interactomic approaches to identify drug targets and are continuing to expand our repertoire to meet the needs of our core users.
The TPD Proteomics Core seeks a highly motivated individual to join the team as a Research Technician who will focus on mass spectrometry-based technologies to assess the cellular proteome in response to external stimuli.
This individual will be an important member of our research team and will collaborate with scientists, postdocs and students on a variety of different research projects focused on targeted protein degradation as a novel therapeutic modality. While we consider various backgrounds, a strong interest in mass spectrometry-based proteomics is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for cell culture and performing drug treatments
• Prepares lab reagents and media
• Performs mass spectrometry sample preparation
• Analyzes experimental data and interpret results to write reports, presentations, grant and publication preparation
• Maintains detailed notebook of all work-related activities
• Operation and maintenance of standard lab equipment
• Maintains and orders laboratory supplies
• Communicates with purchasing and may be responsible for negotiating with vendors
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree required with a focus in biology or chemistry preferred
• A knowledge of information and techniques related to biology, chemistry or medicine is preferred
• Understanding of statistical and computational methods is desirable
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Must have close attention to detail and consistent work habits
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Must have good time management
