Opportunity Overview
The Teradyne Field Applications team is seeking highly motivated, energetic, technically driven Field Application Engineer Intern, who will work collaboratively with the team to develop imaginative, thorough, and practical Automated Test Equipment (ATE) application solutions. This is a part time summer internship onsite in San Jose.
As a Field Application Engineer Intern, you work with our Field Application Engineer team as well as our customers. You will have the opportunity to experience a range of activities.
+ Develop knowledge and skills on semiconductor device testing, and ATE (Automated Test Equipment) system operation
+ Develop, debug and deployment of test solutions for various semiconductor chips such as Digital, High-Speed Digital, System on Chip, Mixed Signal and Analog semiconductor devices
+ Perform data analysis and statistical evaluation
+ Present data, findings, and conclusions to a broad audience
+ C# programming

+ Pursuing a bachelor or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering / Sciences or related fields
+ GPA of 3.5 out of 4 or better
+ Must have completed a minimum of 2 years coursework
+ Completed courses on analog and digital circuit fundamentals
+ Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals (digital logic, digital communications SPI, I2C, PCIe, signal processing, power delivery a plus)
+ Ability to work with hardware tools such as oscilloscopes, voltage meters, power supplies, electronic loads
+ Basic software development and scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, C, C#, or C++ and common algorithms) in Windows environment
+ Experience with Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), as well as with Microsoft Visual Studio being a plus
+ Solid presentation skills. Written and verbal communication skills in English
+ Team player, willingness to learn new techniques and technologies
+ Strong interpersonal and relationships-building skills
+ Prior internship/co-op experience preferred

Compensation:
The base hourly range for this role is $25.50-$51.75. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
