Work Location : Butte, MT
Pay range : $20.00 - $21.00/hour (first year interns $20.00/hour, returning interns $21.00/hour)
Employment Status: Temporary (May-August 40 Hours Per Week)
(September - December part-time, 20 hours per week)

About this position:
The Generator Interconnection Intern will participate with all facets of NorthWestern Energy's Net Metering and Generator Interconnection processes, while getting the opportunity to participate in implementation process of new software.

+ Participate in organization work meetings
+ Process net metering applications with our generator interconnection team
+ Participate in implementation process of a new interconnection software
+ Collaborate with internal teams to streamline interconnection workflow and improve efficiency
+ Support and assist with moving project files to the records system in compliance with records retention policies
+ Assist with Transmission Service contract management
+ Perform other Generator Interconnection and Transmission Services tasks as needed

+ Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills
+ Proficient in Microsoft office excel, word, and access data base
+ Must be able to work closely with other individuals and cooperate with other departments
+ Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business or other relevant degree paths
+ Student must have completed Freshman level or higher by stated date
+ Must be in good academic standing
+ Must Provide GPA in Resume upon application
+ Get Into Energy - Energy Industry Fundamental 2.0 certification is a plus (https://getintoenergy.org/courses/energy-industry-fundamentals-2-0/) (click here to certify at no cost)
