    **VCA Ark Animal Hospital** is growing, and we’re excited to welcome a **full-time Veterinary Assistant** to our dedicated and compassionate team!

    **Schedule:** Full-time | 4 shifts per week, 10 hours per shift

    **Compensation:** $18–$24/hour (based on skill set and relevant hospital experience).

    About the Role

     

    As a key member of our **Patient Care Team** , you’ll support our doctors and technicians in delivering exceptional medical care and an outstanding client experience.

     

    This role requires a minimum of 9 months of hands-on experience in a veterinary hospital or clinical setting.

    Key Responsibilities Include:

    + Performing diagnostic procedures such as blood draws, fecal exams, and cytology preparation

    + Placing IV catheters and administering medications via multiple routes

    + Monitoring anesthesia and assisting with surgical preparation and recovery

    + Assisting with dental cleanings and dental radiographs

    + Supporting DVMs during exams and medical procedures

    + Educating clients and providing clear discharge instructions

    + Accurately documenting patient care in electronic medical records

    + Supporting hospital workflow and patient comfort throughout the day
