Business Analyst III (Contract)

Contract Length: 51 Weeks

Work Arrangement: Onsite Philadelphia, PA

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst III to join our team on a long-term contract assignment. This role serves as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and the IT organization, ensuring that technical solutions effectively meet business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of both business processes and IT system functionality.

Key Responsibilities

+ Act as the primary bridge between business units and IT teams to gather, clarify, and translate business needs into functional requirements.

+ Analyze business operations to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements.

+ Support business process redesign efforts and produce detailed documentation for new technologies and workflows.

+ Translate high-level business requirements into clear functional specifications and manage updates or changes throughout the project lifecycle.

+ Educate IT teams on business goals, priorities, and strategic direction.

+ Facilitate communication and negotiations between business stakeholders and IT from initial requirement discussions through final implementation.

+ Stay informed about industry and technology trends and leverage this knowledge to propose innovative solutions that enhance organizational competitiveness.

+ Provide insights on potential buy-versus-build decisions for technology solutions.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.

+ Typically requires 6–8 years of relevant business or technical experience.

+ Proven ability to analyze complex business processes and develop effective technical solutions.

+ Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

+ Ability to translate business needs into actionable technical requirements.

+ Knowledge of current and emerging technologies and how they can be applied to support business objectives.
