    Network Engineer – Lead / Super Lead

     

    Overview

     

    The Lead Cable Technician (Super Lead) is the on-site authority responsible for coordinating all cabling activities during a shift. This individual serves as the primary point of contact (POC) for the end client (leading technology company) and is accountable for execution, communication, and team performance.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Act as the on-site POC for client stakeholders and partners

    + Execute and manage daily work plans with L1 and L2 technicians

    + Direct and prioritize tasks across the team to meet delivery timelines

    + Monitor quality, safety, and adherence to client standards

    + Address issues in real time and escalate as needed

    + Act as an escalation point for L1 and L2 as needed for deploying/testing

    + Communicate progress, risks, and completion status to stakeholders

    Requirements

    Required Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Extensive experience deploying fiber cabling in enterprise or hyperscale environments

    + Proven leadership experience managing on-site technical teams

    + Strong communication skills with both technicians and client representatives

    + Ability to adapt plans based on field conditions and client direction

    + Must have fiber cable equipment. Heavy duty scissors/strippers, safety glasses, ear plugs, cut-resistant gloves, etc.

     

    Nice to Have

     

    + OSHA Certified (29 CFR Ideal)

    + Experience working directly with hyperscalers or large telecom providers

    + Familiarity with change management, MOPs, and structured rollout plans
