    Description

    Our company is seeking a skilled Contract Data Engineer to support our technology team in Atlanta, GA. In this project-based role, you will design, build, and optimize data pipelines and architectures – essential for data collection, transformation, and analytics. Ideal candidates bring a hands-on background with either Azure or AWS platforms.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Design, construct, and maintain scalable cloud-based data pipelines using Azure or AWS services.

    + Collaborate with teams to gather technical requirements and implement data integrations.

    + Create and optimize ETL processes ensuring accessible and high-quality data for analysis.

    + Troubleshoot pipeline issues and perform data quality checks.

    + Manage large data sets in accordance with security and compliance standards.

    Requirements

    Required Qualifications:

    + Professional experience as a Data Engineer.

    + Hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Azure or AWS data services.

    + Strong SQL skills and experience with at least one programming language (Python, Java, or Scala).

    + Data modeling, warehousing, and ETL pipeline development expertise.

    + Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a contract setting.

    Preferred Skills:

    + Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect).

    + Experience with distributed systems or real-time data processing frameworks.
