Description We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Plano, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security across systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with Cisco networking technologies and demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Provide advanced technical support to resolve complex network issues and ensure system functionality.
• Travel occasionally to branch locations within the region to address on-site technical needs.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents by performing thorough troubleshooting and data-driven analysis.
• Implement infrastructure changes and execute network configuration requests.
• Install, configure, and maintain network and telecom hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance and quickly identify and resolve issues to maintain uptime.
• Strengthen network security by applying appropriate measures and protocols aligned with organizational standards.
• Manage backup and recovery processes to safeguard data integrity and availability.
• Conduct regular maintenance and updates to ensure network systems operate efficiently.
• Document technical details of incidents in ticketing systems and maintain comprehensive records of network configurations and inventory. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise network operations.
• Strong expertise in Cisco networking equipment, including routers, switches, and voice platforms.
• Proficient in troubleshooting network issues using established frameworks and methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Networking-related certifications or relevant courses are highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical issues to non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to work outside regular business hours to minimize interruptions during system changes.
