    Description

    We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Oracle Exadata Database Administrator (DBA) with deep expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and advanced security engineering. In this mission‑critical role, you will architect, secure, optimize, and operate our Oracle Exadata platforms across both on‑premises and cloud environments. You will ensure exceptional availability, performance, and resilience for enterprise databases while implementing rigorous security controls, compliance frameworks, and operational best practices across all Exadata and OCI deployments.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Administer and secure Exadata platforms across storage cells, compute nodes, and InfiniBand networks in both on‑premises and OCI environments.

    + Design and implement advanced security controls including encryption, privileged access management, auditing, and vulnerability remediation for Exadata and Oracle Cloud databases.

    + Lead installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades of Exadata software, firmware, and OCI resources with a focus on uptime, performance, and hardened security.

    + Monitor and tune database performance using proactive diagnostics, capacity planning, and optimization techniques to maintain peak operational efficiency.

    + Develop and manage enterprise‑grade backup and recovery strategies leveraging RMAN, Oracle Data Guard, and OCI‑native tools to ensure business continuity and disaster recovery readiness.

    Requirements

    Required Skills & Qualifications

     

    + 10+ years of Oracle DBA experience with at least 5 years focused on Exadata administration.

    + Hands‑on expertise with Oracle Exadata including storage cells, compute nodes, networking, patching, and performance tuning.

    + Strong proficiency in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) including DB Systems, Exadata Cloud Service, and OCI security services.

    + Advanced security engineering skills: TDE, auditing, IAM, network security, vulnerability management, and compliance frameworks.

    + Expertise in RMAN, Oracle Data Guard, and high‑availability architectures.

    + Deep SQL and PL/SQL proficiency with strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities.

    + Experience with performance tuning across Exadata, RAC, ASM, and large‑scale enterprise workloads.

    + Strong understanding of Linux administration as it relates to Oracle database operations.

    + Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to collaborate across infrastructure, security, and application teams.
