Position Overview
The Salesperson / Project Technician is a hybrid role combining client-facing sales responsibilities with hands-on project coordination. This position is ideal for a motivated individual who thrives in both relationship-building and technical problem-solving. You will be responsible for generating new business, managing client accounts, and ensuring projects are executed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
+ Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Central Virginia region.
+ Conduct site visits and prepare accurate estimates for paving projects.
+ Develop and maintain strong relationships with residential, commercial, and municipal clients.
+ Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
Project Coordination:
+ Serve as the primary point of contact between clients and the operations team.
+ Assist in scheduling, planning, and overseeing project execution.
+ Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality specifications.
+ Monitor project progress and resolve issues promptly.
Requirements
Qualifications
+ Proven experience in sales, preferably in construction, paving, or related industries.
+ Strong technical understanding of paving processes, materials, and equipment (training provided if needed).
+ Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
+ Ability to read and interpret site plans and specifications.
+ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills
+ Experience with estimating software and CRM tools.
+ Knowledge of local regulations and permitting processes.
+ Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
