• Network Engineer

    Description

    We are looking for a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network systems to support business operations while ensuring security and scalability. As this is a long-term contract position, it offers stability and the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop, configure, and maintain network systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.

    • Manage and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls, including Meraki devices.

    • Implement and maintain network security measures such as firewall rules, VPNs, and access controls.

    • Monitor network performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions.

    • Administer on-premise phone systems and cloud VoIP platforms

    • Provide advanced technical support for network-related problems, including participation in on-call rotations.

    • Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, processes, and updates.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network infrastructure with organizational needs.

    Requirements

    • Extensive experience with Cisco networking equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls.

    • Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, and QoS.

    • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex network issues.

    • Experience migrating phone systems to cloud VoIP solutions.

    • Experience with Webex Cloud.

    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

    • Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are highly desirable.

    • Familiarity with Meraki devices and advanced firewall configurations.
