Description We are looking for a skilled Construction Contracts Manager to join our team in Rocklin, California. In this role, you will oversee the contracting process from initial bidding to project execution, ensuring contractual obligations are met and risks are mitigated. This position requires strategic thinking, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to provide expert guidance on contract management to achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for securing business opportunities, analyzing profitability, and assessing contractual risks.
• Manage the contracting process from bid preparation to project execution, including creating handover documentation, tracking key contract terms, and supporting financial and project management.
• Ensure proper drafting, storage, and accessibility of executed contracts while maintaining a systematic archive.
• Provide strategic guidance and solutions to internal teams on contract management practices and corporate initiatives.
• Lead and support contract negotiations, developing strategies to address complex contractual matters.
• Assist in the creation, improvement, and implementation of contract templates, policies, and processes.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation to support decision-making by senior management.
• Participate in project reviews to ensure compliance with contract requirements, manage claims processes, and proactively address risk areas.
• Offer strategic advice and contribute expertise to develop risk mitigation strategies and improve project outcomes.
• Conduct in-depth analyses to support the company’s position and advance contractual strategies. Requirements • Proven experience in commercial contracts, contract negotiations, and contract management.
• Strong background in contract administration and drafting agreements.
• Ability to analyze profitability and assess potential risks associated with business opportunities.
• Expertise in developing negotiation strategies and addressing complex contractual issues.
• Proficiency in creating and implementing contract templates, policies, and processes.
• Skilled in managing claims processes and interpreting contract requirements during project execution.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to provide proactive solutions and manage risks effectively.
