Description We are looking for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in Wilmington, North Carolina. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an exciting opportunity for a versatile and detail-oriented individual ready to handle a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and payroll processes, along with the ability to adapt and pivot as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely billing.

• Handle payroll for approximately 60 employees, including contract-based labor, using ADP systems.

• Perform job costing tasks to support financial decision-making and project management.

• Prepare and review journal entries to maintain the integrity of accounting records.

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

• Oversee corporate tax and sales tax filings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

• Utilize Dynamics 365 and Excel to perform efficient financial analyses and reporting.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address timekeeping and payroll discrepancies.

• Ensure all financial operations are completed in a timely and detail-oriented manner. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable and payroll processing.

• Strong knowledge of corporate tax, sales tax, and tax return preparation.

• Proficiency in journal entries and general ledger maintenance.

• Hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 and advanced Excel skills.

• Ability to manage time effectively and meet strict deadlines.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Adaptability and willingness to take on diverse tasks as needed.

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
