    Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Houston, Texas. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to grow their career in accounting. You will play a critical role in managing the accounts payable process and ensuring the accuracy of financial records through efficient invoice processing and reconciliation.

    Responsibilities:

    • Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

    • Perform account reconciliations to ensure all financial transactions are balanced.

    • Handle check runs and ensure proper distribution.

    • Code invoices and verify appropriate ledger entries.

    • Manage data entry tasks with precision to maintain accurate records.

    • Assist with invoice processing and resolve discrepancies promptly.

    • Utilize Excel for tracking and reporting purposes.

    • Work within Great Plains Dynamics to execute accounts payable functions. Requirements • Previous experience in accounts payable or a related role is preferred.

    • Strong proficiency in Excel is required.

    • Familiarity with Great Plains Dynamics is a plus.

    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Ability to perform accurate data entry and coding of invoices.

    • Capable of working effectively in a team-oriented, onsite environment.

    • Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.
