    Senior Account Clerk-Accounts Payable (Temp to Possible Hire)

    Overview:

    Responsible for maintaining, reviewing, and reconciling financial records while performing advanced clerical and accounting support. This role may include overseeing account-related tasks and supporting payroll, budgeting, and reporting functions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Review, maintain, and reconcile financial accounts and records

    + Classify receipts and expenditures and ensure accuracy of entries

    + Post transactions to journals and ledgers

    + Compile and prepare routine financial, payroll, and cost reports

    + Assist with payroll processing and account balancing

    + Prepare and verify financial and statistical data

    + Support budget tracking and departmental reporting

    + Operate standard office and accounting equipment

    + Maintain organized records and files

    + Provide professional, customer-focused service and support team operations

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of clerical experience involving financial accounts (supervisory experience preferred), OR

    + Associate degree in business, accounting, or a related field

    + Equivalent combination of education and experience considered

    Skills & Traits:

    + Strong attention to detail and accuracy

    + Solid arithmetic and accounting skills

    + Knowledge of office procedures and financial recordkeeping

    + Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

    + Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
