Description We are looking for an experienced Senior GL Accountant to join our team in San Jose, California. This is a long-term contract position offering an opportunity to contribute to critical accounting processes and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in general ledger accounting and month-end close procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial statements.

• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of accounting records.

• Conduct detailed account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues effectively.

• Oversee bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between financial records and bank statements.

• Review and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial reporting needs and improve processes.

• Analyze financial data to support decision-making and enhance operational efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements during all accounting processes.

• Provide support for audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.

• Continuously evaluate and improve accounting procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Requirements • Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar accounting role.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and practices.

• Proficiency in month-end close processes and journal entry preparation.

• Demonstrated expertise in account and bank reconciliations.

• Familiarity with financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance.

• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work collaboratively with teams and communicate effectively.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
