    Robert Half Accountemps (Travelers Rest, SC)


    Description We are looking for an experienced Branch/Retail Banking Clerk to join our team in Travelers Rest, South Carolina. In this fast-paced role, you will serve as the friendly face of the bank, assisting customers with their financial needs in both the lobby and drive-thru. This is a contract to permanent position, offering a great opportunity for skill development and long-term career advancement.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients in the lobby and drive-thru with various banking transactions.

    • Process deposits, withdrawals, and check cashing with precision and efficiency in a high-volume environment.

    • Open new accounts and guide customers through the onboarding process.

    • Handle cash transactions and ensure the accuracy of cash drawers by balancing them daily.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to checking and savings accounts.

    • Utilize banking systems and software effectively, learning new tools quickly to support daily operations.

    • Adhere to all banking regulations and security procedures to maintain compliance.

    • Communicate courteously with customers, ensuring they have a positive experience and feel valued.

    • Collaborate with team members to manage branch opening and closing schedules.

    • Work occasional Saturdays, providing service during morning hours with time-and-a-half pay. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail banking or a similar customer-facing role.

    • Strong cash handling skills with a proven track record of accuracy.

    • Familiarity with banking operations, including deposits, withdrawals, and account management.

    • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

    • Excellent communication skills to interact professionally and kindly with customers.

    • Technical proficiency with banking systems and the ability to adapt to new software quickly.

    • Understanding of banking regulations and security protocols.

    • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including occasional Saturdays.
