Description

Our client in Downtown Houston is looking for a Senior Account to join their team for a long-term contract position. The candidate will play a vital role in supporting project management and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices and systems, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices efficiently to support project timelines and ensure timely payments.

• Accurately input invoices and payment requests into payables workflow systems, including Ariba and other platforms.

• Review invoices for compliance with contracted rates and ensure all required documentation is provided.

• Collaborate with vendors and contract administrators to address and resolve billing discrepancies.

• Assist with vendor setup and maintenance in the Ariba Vendor Maintenance System, including making necessary updates to facilitate payments.

• Support project managers by recording materials into Lawson and addressing ad-hoc material-related needs.

• Provide assistance with accounting challenges related to invoices, ensuring accuracy and resolution.

• Conduct audits and reconcile accounts to maintain financial accuracy.

• Utilize accounting software to manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures while maintaining detailed records.

Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems such as ERP platforms and Ariba.

• Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions.

• Experience with auditing and balance sheet account reconciliation.

• Knowledge of financial services tools such as ADP and Concur.

• Ability to effectively handle invoice processing and resolve discrepancies.

• Familiarity with vendor management systems and workflow platforms.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with vendors and internal teams.

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
