Description

We are looking for a meticulous and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team in Elmhurst, Illinois. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential accounting functions while gaining valuable experience in the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and demonstrate expertise in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting key accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries with precision to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Manage month-end closing tasks, including account reconciliations and the creation of supporting schedules.

• Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Assist in audit preparation by organizing pertinent documentation and delivering required analyses.

• Support fixed asset and lease accounting processes, adding value to these specialized areas.

• Utilize NetSuite for processing transactions, performing reconciliations, and generating reports.

• Maintain financial records in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

• Collaborate with team members to facilitate general accounting and finance initiatives.

• Communicate effectively across departments to gather necessary information and address issues promptly.

The hourly pay range for this position is $28.84 to $36/hour. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a staff accountant, with expertise in journal entries, month-end closing, and account reconciliations.

• Familiarity with audit processes and the ability to prepare supporting documentation.

• Knowledge of lease accounting or fixed asset accounting is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in NetSuite is a strong advantage.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Capability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative work style.
