Description

Key Responsibilities:

+ Perform general ledger accounting, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations specific to property management.

+ Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions for multiple properties.

+ Maintain tenant ledgers, post rent payments, and apply other charges using Yardi.

+ Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for property portfolios.

+ Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for managed properties.

+ Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and reconciliations.

+ Ensure compliance with property management, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.

+ Collaborate with property managers, external auditors, and other team members as needed.

+ Run ad-hoc financial reports and provide analytical support as requested.

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

+ 2+ years of staff accounting experience, preferably in property or real estate accounting.

+ Hands-on experience with Yardi accounting software required.

+ Strong understanding of general accounting principles (GAAP) and property management best practices.

+ Excellent attention to detail, organizational and communication skills.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
