Description We are looking for a meticulous Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in Weston, Florida. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented environment and is eager to develop their skills in accounting operations. The role involves managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and cash applications while ensuring financial accuracy and maintaining organized documentation.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and issue accurate invoices to customers and enter them into procurement systems such as Ariba and Coupa.
• Apply incoming payments, including wire transfers and checks, to the appropriate accounts and investigate unmatched transactions.
• Perform collections activities by reconciling open items and following up on outstanding receivables.
• Process vendor invoices and match them to purchase orders and receipts, ensuring all transactions are documented.
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations, including handling multi-currency accounts and foreign exchange transactions.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.
• Reconcile data between internal systems and external statements for accuracy and consistency.
• Develop customized reports for customers and vendors as needed to streamline financial processes.
• Collaborate with team members and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and improve workflows.
• Support the accounting team with additional tasks to enhance operational efficiency. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent practical experience in accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with customer portals like Ariba and Coupa for invoice management.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
• Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and cash applications.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.
