Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Port Everglades, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing critical accounts payable functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations. This position offers an opportunity to work on-site and contribute to the smooth functioning of payment processes and vendor relations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounts payable operations, including invoice processing and payment workflows, ensuring accurate and timely payments.

• Maintain effective communication with vendors, addressing inquiries, resolving disputes, and fostering strong relationships.

• Analyze accounts payable procedures and recommend improvements to optimize efficiency and accuracy.

• Compile and review accounts payable reports, such as vendor performance metrics, ensuring data integrity.

• Handle monthly workers' compensation reports, including calculations and payment postings.

• Prepare pre-closing reports for vendors to update financial systems accurately.

• Reconcile accounts during closing processes, including credit card transactions, fuel data, workers’ compensation, and rental equipment.

• Coordinate with managers to manage weekly shipping schedules and related financial documentation.

• Ensure smooth month-end and year-end accounts payable closing processes in compliance with company standards.

• Support audits by providing required documentation and assisting with audit procedures. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable functions, including invoice coding and payment processing.

• Proficiency in systems such as SAP and automated clearing house (ACH) procedures.

• Strong knowledge of account coding and check runs.

• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills for vendor management and team collaboration.

• Familiarity with employee expense claims and reconciliation processes.

• Capacity to manage multiple tasks within deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
