• Accounting Manager/Supervisor

    Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to provide part-time accounting support for two entities. In this role, you will collaborate directly with the Founder to ensure the smooth execution of accounting operations, financial processes, and ad-hoc projects. This is a long-term contract opportunity based in New York, New York, ideal for professionals skilled in QuickBooks and Excel.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage daily accounting operations, including invoicing, billing, and financial recordkeeping.

    • Collaborate with the Founder to establish and maintain accurate financial processes.

    • Utilize QuickBooks for comprehensive accounting tasks and reporting.

    • Maintain and update the chart of accounts to ensure accurate financial data.

    • Prepare and analyze financial reports to support informed business decisions.

    • Ensure timely entry of invoices and related transactions.

    • Oversee reconciliation of accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.

    • Support ad-hoc financial projects and provide actionable recommendations.

    • Optimize processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in accounting workflows.

    • Provide expertise in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting tasks. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

    • Proficiency in QuickBooks for managing accounting tasks.

    • Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions.

    • Solid understanding of billing, invoicing, and financial operations.

    • Ability to maintain and update a chart of accounts effectively.

    • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and adapt to changing priorities.

    • Experience handling ad-hoc projects and delivering actionable insights.
