Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting. If you have experience in account reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger management, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and record accurate journal entries to ensure proper financial documentation.

• Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are correctly categorized.

• Perform account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.

• Assist in preparing financial reports and statements in compliance with established guidelines.

• Participate in month-end and quarter-end closing activities to meet deadlines.

• Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information.

• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies in all processes.

• Provide support during audits by preparing documentation and answering inquiries.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances.

• Utilize accounting software to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Requirements • Proven experience in journal entry preparation and management.

• In-depth knowledge of general ledger accounting and related processes.

• Strong ability to perform detailed account reconciliations.

• Proficiency with accounting software; experience with Dynamics 365 is beneficial but not mandatory.

• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
