Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Santa Barbara, California. This is a long-term contract position that offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to inventory management improvements while supporting financial operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate inventory tracking, vendor coordination, and adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Controller to design and implement initiatives that enhance inventory management processes.

• Conduct inventory cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and document findings to identify root causes and recommend solutions.

• Work closely with Food & Beverage (F& B) and Retail teams to streamline inventory preparation for efficient counting processes.

• Monitor inventory transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness, including managing product returns and identifying scrapped items.

• Provide guidance to F& B and Retail teams on inventory management best practices and standard operating procedures.

• Assist in determining inventory minimums, maximums, and par levels to optimize stock management.

• Inspect inventory at various locations to verify quantities, labeling, and overall accuracy.

• Maintain accurate data entry for inventory tracking systems, including vendor information, unit pricing, and item locations.

• Develop and manage delivery schedules for vendors, ensuring timely deliveries and fostering strong relationships with delivery drivers.

• Support the creation of reports and visual tools such as charts and graphs to analyze inventory trends. Requirements • Proven experience in clerical duties and managing inventory processes.

• Strong ability to audit and analyze inventory data to ensure accuracy.

• Proficiency in creating charts, graphs, and reports for effective communication of data.

• Excellent communication skills, including answering inbound calls professionally.

• Familiarity with inventory tracking databases and systems.

• Knowledge of product quality standards and the ability to inspect inventory accordingly.

• Strong organizational skills to manage delivery schedules and vendor coordination.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including F& B and Retail staff.
