    Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team in Jamaica, New York. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in assisting clients with their tax preparation needs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maximizing deductions. This role requires proficiency in accounting software systems and strong attention to detail to deliver exceptional service.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and file accurate tax returns for clients, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

    • Utilize various accounting and tax software systems, such as CCH ProSystem Fx and Drake Tax Software, to manage client data and calculations.

    • Analyze financial records and identify opportunities for tax savings and deductible maximization.

    • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients regarding allowances, exemptions, and tax-related decisions.

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

    • Input and organize financial data efficiently, ensuring precision in all entries.

    • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documents and information for tax preparation.

    • Address client inquiries and provide excellent customer service to resolve tax-related concerns.

    • Review and verify completed tax returns to ensure accuracy and completeness.

    • Assist in maintaining organized records for audit readiness and future reference. Requirements • Proven experience as a Tax Preparer or in a similar tax-related role.

    • Proficiency in accounting software systems, including CCH ProSystem Fx and Drake Tax Software.

    • Strong understanding of tax regulations, allowances, deductions, and exemptions.

    • Excellent data entry skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

    • Ability to provide attentive and responsive customer service.

    • Familiarity with financial services and accounting functions.

    • Effective communication skills to explain complex tax concepts to clients.

    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts efficiently.
