Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in Elmsford, New York. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a vital role in managing payroll operations, ensuring accurate data entry, and supporting various administrative tasks. The position offers a dynamic opportunity to work in a unionized environment with a focus on precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Process weekly union payroll with a focus on manual data entry and timely submission by deadlines.

• Collaborate with General Supervisors to onboard new employees and facilitate their payroll setup.

• Handle cash receipts and perform remote bank deposits efficiently.

• Input estimated project costs into Sage/Timberline software for accurate records.

• Coordinate with insurance brokers to secure Certificates of Insurance as needed.

• Assist with unemployment claims by providing necessary documentation and support.

• Conduct high-volume data entry of employee timesheets into Zuma software.

• Verify I-9 documentation and ensure proper onboarding of new hires.

• Maintain compliance with payroll regulations and union agreements.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze payroll data effectively. Requirements • Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing, preferably in a unionized setting.

• Familiarity with multi-state payroll operations and compliance.

• Proficiency in Sage Timberline and Zuma software is preferred.

• Strong skills in data entry and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage weekly payroll deadlines and high-volume tasks.

• Experience with onboarding procedures, including verifying I-9 documentation.

• Knowledge of accounts receivable processes and bank deposits.

• Competence in Microsoft Excel for payroll analysis and reporting.
