Description

A reputable healthcare organization in Vista is hiring a Billing Specialist to support accurate medical billing, insurance follow-up, and revenue cycle operations. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys analytical work, problem-solving, and ensuring claims are billed correctly and reimbursed timely. You will play a critical role in the financial health of the organization by managing claims, resolving billing issues, and collaborating with internal clinical and administrative teams. The ideal candidate is detail-focused, patient, and knowledgeable about healthcare billing processes.

Key Responsibilities

+ Prepare and submit insurance and patient claims accurately and timely

+ Review billing data for accuracy, coding alignment, and payer requirements

+ Follow up on unpaid or underpaid claims with insurance companies

+ Resolve billing discrepancies, denials, and rejections

+ Post payments, adjustments, and remittances

+ Maintain accurate patient billing records and documentation

+ Communicate with patients regarding billing questions and payment options

+ Support month-end billing reports and audits

Requirements

+ 2–4 years of medical billing experience

+ Knowledge of insurance payers, EOBs, CPT/ICD coding basics

+ Experience with EMR or medical billing software

+ Strong organizational and documentation skills

+ Professional communication skills and patient-focused approach

+ Ability to manage confidential information compliantly
