    Description

    A well-established construction services company in San Marcos is seeking a professional and results-driven Collections Specialist to manage outstanding receivables while maintaining positive client relationships. This role is ideal for someone who understands the importance of balancing firm follow-up with diplomacy. You will work closely with project managers, accounting staff, and customers to ensure timely payments, resolve disputes, and support healthy cash flow across multiple active projects. The ideal candidate is organized, confident in communication, and comfortable working with contract-based billing and lien-sensitive environments.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Monitor AR aging reports and proactively follow up on past-due balances

    + Communicate with clients regarding invoices, payment status, and discrepancies

    + Coordinate with project managers to resolve billing disputes

    + Document collection activity and maintain detailed account notes

    + Assist with lien waivers, conditional releases, and compliance documentation

    + Support month-end close and AR reporting

    Requirements

    + 2–4 years of collections or AR experience (construction preferred)

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills

    + Knowledge of progress billing and retainage a plus

    + Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines

    + Professional, firm, and customer-focused approach
