    Robert Half Accountemps (Shell Beach, CA)


    Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Shell Beach, California. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in managing financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience with reconciliation, general ledger management, and month-end processes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and enter journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.

    • Conduct month-end closing activities, including reconciling accounts and verifying financial data.

    • Manage and maintain the general ledger to ensure all transactions are recorded properly.

    • Reconcile account balances and ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly.

    • Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software to manage financial data efficiently.

    • Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure data integrity.

    • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

    • Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

    • Address any accounting-related inquiries or issues in a timely manner. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on journal entries and reconciliations.

    • Proficiency in using QuickBooks and other accounting software systems.

    • Solid understanding of general ledger management and balance sheet preparation.

    • Demonstrated ability to perform month-end closing processes accurately.

    • Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.

    • Knowledge of accounting principles and standards.

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

    • Effective communication abilities to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
