Description We are looking for a dedicated Financial Project Manager to join our team in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this contract position, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and driving effective cash management strategies. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage both high-level financial tasks and day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage key functions within the finance department, including accounts payable, payroll, billing, and collections.

• Oversee month-end and year-end financial close processes, including income statement and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Perform detailed account reconciliations and general ledger analysis to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

• Implement and monitor cash flow management techniques to optimize timely billing and collections.

• Collaborate with the accounting team and executive leadership to support organizational financial goals.

• Ensure compliance with financial controls and internal policies across all operations.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Serve as a resource for staff, providing guidance and support on financial processes and tasks.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and enhance operational efficiency within the finance department.

• Coordinate with various teams to ensure seamless integration of financial strategies into broader organizational objectives. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management.

• Familiarity with large organizational structures and operations is preferred.

• Proven ability to manage both strategic financial planning and routine operational tasks.

• Strong expertise in account reconciliation, journal entries, and month-end close processes.

• Knowledge of sales tax reporting and expense management.

• Exceptional communication and leadership skills to work effectively with diverse teams.

• High level of integrity, reliability, and attention to detail in all aspects of financial management.
