Robert Half Management Resources is currently looking for an experienced Plant Controller to support a $10M Manufacturing client in Mansfield, Ohio. In this role, you will play a vital part in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining effective controls over processes. The plant controller will assist with a variety of daily tasks to include: A/P, A/R, Payroll, Journal entries, month-end close, and reconciliations. This role will also assist company leadership with project-related activities to include: GL clean-up, A/R process improvement, ad hoc financial analysis, cash flow analysis, and other potential financial process improvement initiatives. This is a contract role (potential for contract to hire) based 100% at the client's location in Mansfield, OH.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee document control processes, ensuring all records are accurately maintained and organized.

• Compile and prepare financial documents and reports, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.

• Monitor and analyze cash flow, providing insights and recommendations for effective financial planning.

• Conduct thorough credit and business analyses to support decision-making and mitigate risks.

• Perform due diligence and financial analysis to evaluate business opportunities and maintain operational efficiency.

• Prepare and present external reports and management reporting, ensuring clarity and accuracy.

• Coordinate month-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and precise financial statements.

• Develop forecasts and budgets to support strategic planning and resource allocation.

• Utilize analytics to evaluate financial performance and identify areas for improvement.

• Manage inventory accounting processes, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.

Requirements • Proven experience in document control and financial management within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong expertise in compiling financial documents and preparing detailed reports.

• Advanced knowledge of cash flow management and financial analysis.

• Proficiency in credit analysis and conducting due diligence.

• Demonstrated ability to prepare external reports and manage month-end closing.

• Solid understanding of forecasting, budgeting, and strategic financial planning.

• Skilled in utilizing analytics to drive decision-making and improve performance.

• Experience in inventory accounting and balanced scorecard analysis.
