Description
We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a dynamic portfolio company within the manufacturing sector. This is a long-term contract position that is fully remote, offering the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the financial strategy and operations of a private equity-backed organization. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in private equity portfolio management and manufacturing operations. This will be a part-time position, with a work schedule of about 3 days a week.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all financial operations, including FP& A activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to private equity stakeholders.
• Conduct detailed cash flow analysis and provide strategic recommendations to optimize financial performance.
• Manage month-end close processes in collaboration with a skilled Controller to maintain the integrity of financial records.
• Lead annual external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and private equity reporting requirements.
• Address and resolve inventory-related challenges by implementing effective strategies and controls.
• Support the organization in identifying opportunities for growth and acquisition, contributing to its role as a platform company.
• Establish and refine financial processes, aligning them with the company’s long-term goals.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure efficient operations and adherence to best practices.
Requirements • Proven experience in private equity portfolio company management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in financial planning and analysis (FP& A), including cash flow management and forecasting.
• Expertise in managing month-end close processes and external audits.
• Familiarity with inventory control and resolution strategies in manufacturing settings.
• Demonstrated ability to create and deliver high-quality presentations for board-level stakeholders.
• Exceptional organizational and leadership skills, with experience overseeing accounting teams.
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial reporting standards and compliance requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) are a plus.
