Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina, on a contract basis. This role involves managing key accounting processes and ensuring the accuracy of financial data for a healthcare-focused organization. The ideal candidate will excel in handling complex reconciliations and month-end procedures while maintaining compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and oversee month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to support financial statements.

• Post and review journal entries to ensure proper documentation and compliance.

• Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and intercompany accounts.

• Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts to verify accuracy and completeness.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address discrepancies and improve processes.

• Utilize Excel and Power BI to analyze financial data and generate reports.

• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.

• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency. Requirements • Proven experience in month-end close procedures and financial reporting.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entries.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Familiarity with intercompany accounting processes.

• Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI for data analysis.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Strong communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
