• Director of Operations

    Robert Half Finance & Accounting (Concord, CA)


    Description

    We are looking for an experienced Director of Operations to lead and optimize processes throughout the enterprise of this private equity owned services company. This role is based in the Walnut Creek, California area, and it offers an exciting opportunity to drive strategic financial initiatives and ensure compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in M& A integration, project management leadership, and process improvement.

    Responsibilities:

    + Analyze processes, identify improvements, and build business cases for cross-functional decisions

    + Design scalable, efficient future-state processes

    + Lead implementation with SOPs and documentation

    + Drive adoption through change management, training, and communications

    + Track adoption and benefits to ensure success

    + Partner with ERP Admin and process owners to design and refine processes as the company scales

    + Facilitate cross-functional sessions to resolve conflicts and align Finance, HR, and IT

    + Assess integration impacts and coordinate adjustments with IT

    + Support testing, issue resolution, go-live, and post-launch optimization

    + Assess acquired companies’ operations, processes, and systems

    + Identify integration challenges and decide on standardization vs. variation

    + Harmonize processes, document exceptions, and coordinate implementation

    + Monitor adoption and support strategic and functional workstreams

    + Facilitate decision-making forums and coordinate with leaders, consultants, and partners

    + Manage multiple initiatives, create project plans, track progress, and adjust as needed

    + Provide status updates and escalate critical issues to leadership

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s in Business, Operations, or related field

    + 8+ years relevant and progressive experience, 3+ years with a consulting firm strongly preferred

    + ERP/HCM implementation experience

    + Lean Six Sigma and PROSCI certifications a plus

    + Operations and M& A experience in a multi-site environment
