Staff Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our clients established team based in the San Francisco South Bay. This role involves performing daily accounting tasks, reconciling accounts, assisting with month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. You will work closely with senior accounting staff to support overall financial operations and maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

+ Maintain and prepare general ledger entries, ensuring proper classification and coding of transactions.

+ Perform monthly reconciliations of bank, credit card, and other accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies.

+ Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting documentation.

+ Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.

+ Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoices, payments, collections, and credit memos.

+ Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulations; assist with audits, including timecard records, payroll data calculations, and reconciliation a plus

+ Collaborate with senior accounting staff on special projects and process improvements.

Required Skills & Abilities

+ Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.

+ Proficiency in Excel and strong mathematical problem-solving skills.

+ Strong organizational and planning abilities; capable of managing multiple assignments.

+ High integrity, trustworthiness, flexibility, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

+ Ability to manage projects from implementation to execution.

Language:

+ Mandarin proficiency is a plus not essential

Education & Experience

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience required.

+ 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or technology environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-3 years of accounting experience

• Strong understanding of journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and month-end closing procedures.

• Proficiency in handling accounts payable and payroll adjustments.

• Ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

• Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail.

• Proficiency in accounting software and tools
