    Description

    Role: Accountant

     

    Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 + Discretionary bonus

     

    Structure: Fully Onsite

     

    Role Reporting to CFO

    Position Summary

    The Accountant will serve as the primary accounting professional for the organization, owning day-to-day accounting operations and playing a key role in financial reporting, analysis, and process improvement. This is a highly visible role that requires a polished, confident professional who is comfortable interacting with company ownership and leadership when questions arise. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytically strong, and highly proficient in Excel, with the ability to manage and interpret complex spreadsheets.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable

    + Oversee cash flow management and daily liquidity monitoring

    + Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger

    + Perform monthly account reconciliations and lead the month-end close process

    + Prepare, analyze, and present monthly financial statements and supporting schedules

    + Maintain fixed asset records using Sage Fixed Assets

    + Perform cost accounting analysis related to a job shop manufacturing environment, including product profitability

    + Develop and maintain production labor and operational reporting

    + Serve as backup for payroll administration

    + Lead the year-end physical inventory process

    + Coordinate with external tax accountants on year-end review and tax filings

    + Act as the internal subject matter expert and primary administrator for the ERP system (Infor Visual Manufacturing)

    + Respond to financial questions from ownership with confidence and clarity

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred, but not required

    + 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience with broad ownership of accounting functions

    + Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required

    + Strong financial reporting experience with the ability to explain results clearly

    + Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to manage and analyze complex spreadsheets

    + Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently

    + Polished, confident communicator who can interact effectively with leadership and ownership

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; ability to quickly learn ERP systems
