    Robert Half Finance & Accounting (Tampa, FL)


    Description

    We are looking for a skilled Controller to join our team in Tampa, Florida. This role involves managing comprehensive accounting functions, overseeing financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will bring a detail-oriented mindset and possess strong expertise in financial analysis and operational processes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage all aspects of full-cycle accounting, including general ledger oversight, journal entries, and month-end closing procedures for multiple entities, including international subsidiaries.

    • Prepare and review financial statements, consolidated reports, and partnership allocation summaries to ensure accuracy and compliance.

    • Administer invoicing processes for retainers, expense reimbursements, and deal-related accruals.

    • Monitor transaction-based revenue streams, including advisory fees and incentive-based structures.

    • Collaborate with leadership to develop annual budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial strategies.

    • Coordinate tax preparation with external firms, managing K-1s, federal and state returns, and compliance filings for multiple entities.

    • Oversee payroll, benefits accounting, accounts payable/receivable, and vendor payment processes, including subscription management and deal-related expenses.

    • Facilitate audit preparations, establish internal controls, and document financial processes.

    • Support equity ownership tracking, partner distributions, and compensation modeling for bonus plans.

    Requirements

    • Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements and consolidated reporting.

    • Familiarity with tax preparation processes, including K-1s and compliance filings.

    • Expertise in managing payroll, benefits accounting, and accounts payable/receivable.

    • Ability to evaluate transaction-based revenue streams and incentive structures.

    • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail for audit preparation and process documentation.

    • Advanced proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools
