Description
Our client, a well-respected and mission-driven nonprofit organization, is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day accounting functions across multiple affiliated entities. This is a rewarding opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys keeping organizations financially organized while supporting meaningful community-focused work.

Key Responsibilities
+ Maintain books for multiple nonprofit entities
+ Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
+ Post and reconcile general ledger transactions
+ Prepare and record revenue entries, including grants, donations, and program income
+ Process payroll and related journal entries
+ Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
+ Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
+ Support audit preparation and provide documentation as needed
+ Maintain organized financial records in accordance with nonprofit and fund accounting standards
+ Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting

Requirements
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role.
• Proficiency in accounts payable processes and general ledger maintenance.
• Familiarity with payroll systems and ability to review timecards for accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to travel locally to multiple parish locations as needed (all local)
• Understanding of nonprofit policies, particularly in relation to insurance coverage.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with volunteers and parish staff.
• Basic knowledge of journal entries and financial record-keeping.
