Description We are looking for a dedicated Senior Billing Specialist to oversee the complete billing process for complex, high-value projects in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This role is integral to maintaining accurate and timely invoicing while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements. The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in construction-style billing, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive approach to enhancing billing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit invoices across various formats, including progress billings, time & materials, and fixed-price structures.

• Coordinate billing activities across multiple locations to ensure service-related invoicing is accurate and timely.

• Review and validate essential billing documents, including contracts, change orders, purchase orders, and subcontractor agreements.

• Ensure all approved change orders are properly incorporated into billing applications.

• Submit invoices through client and third-party platforms such as Procore, Coupa, and GC Pay.

• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up proactively on outstanding balances to ensure timely payment.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.

• Manage lien waivers and other necessary documentation to support payment processing.

• Identify opportunities to improve billing workflows, reporting accuracy, and overall efficiency.

• Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing processes within the billing and accounting functions. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable and project-based billing, with expertise in complex billing structures.

• Proficiency with accounting systems such as Acumatica, NetSuite, Sage, or similar platforms.

• In-depth knowledge of contract-driven billing processes, project cost tracking, and compliance requirements.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and reconciliation.

• Proven ability to handle high invoice volumes, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with billing formats such as AIA, progress billing, and time & materials invoicing.

• Experience with client and third-party platforms like Procore, Coupa, and GC Pay.
