Description
Our client is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to oversee and optimize the accounts payable operations within our organization. This role requires expertise in managing high-volume invoice processing, vendor payments, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and policies. Based in Memphis, Tennessee, this position offers the opportunity to lead a dynamic team and implement process improvements in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the entire accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and month-end close activities.
• Supervise and develop the accounts payable team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices while maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Operations teams to resolve discrepancies and address vendor inquiries.
• Implement and oversee internal controls to ensure proper approval workflows and segregation of duties.
• Drive process improvement initiatives, including automation and standardization to enhance efficiency.
• Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with 1099 reporting requirements.
• Prepare and present accounts payable metrics and reports to finance leadership.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing audit findings.
• Monitor and manage the integrity of financial systems related to accounts payable operations.Out
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 7 years of accounts payable experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, internal controls, and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Epicor, and proficiency in using AP automation tools.
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze and report on financial data.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
