Description
Well established, dynamic growing company is looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join their team!
The responsibilities of the Senior Accountant will include the following:
• Lead and participate in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
• Support audits by preparing lead schedules, documentation, and responses to auditor inquiries.
• Manage treasury functions, including daily cash positioning, cash forecasting, and optimizing working capital.
• Drive process improvements and support ERP and accounting system enhancements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and IT to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Support due diligence in mergers and acquisitions being considered.
• Train key employees from acquired businesses on ERP and oversee implementation.
• Analyze financial trends and performance to provide actionable insight into leadership.
• Assist in KPI tracking and reporting, including use of tools such as Power BI
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 5 of accounting experience and ERP experience. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to take on tactical accounting responsibilities and strategic leadership initiatives.
Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in a senior capacity.
• Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and procedures.
• Proficiency in managing general ledger accounts and preparing journal entries.
• Demonstrated expertise in account and bank reconciliations.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
