    Position Summary

    - The Director of Consumer Investment will sit at the intersection of Finance & Strategy and Digital & Commerce Marketing to lead strategy and analytics for consumer investment topics at ELC.

     

    - Reporting into the Executive Director of Consumer Investment & RGM Analytics, this role will co-lead the Marketing Investment CoE to develop new tools, capabilities and processes to drive better partnership between the Marketing & Finance functions in the Advertising & Promotions strategy to budget process. As part of the overall E2E transformation workstream, this role will serve as the voice of Finance for ELC’s journey to digitize the Marketing Planning process, owning topics including A&P Taxonomy, A&P ROI, BrandMaker Finance Integration.

    Key Roles & Responsibilities

    - Define future strategy for the integration of our financial planning process into future marketing planning process. This includes:

     

    - Defining the vision for end state ways of working between finance and marketing functions on how we plan and forecast $4.5Bn of OpEx annually

     

    - Leading technical discovery and requirements in driving data integration

     

    - Setting the change and training agenda to bring Finance along the journey of the vision

     

    - Lead enterprise efforts to develop and maintain Consumer Facing Investment tracking and Integrated A&P KPI Framework capabilities with goal to improve A&P spend transparency and productivity

     

    - Lead regional discovery and alignment on framework KPIs

     

    - Partner with OneSource team to maintain and evolve capability

     

    - Work with IT/D&A to drive automation of framework over time

     

    - In addition, work with regional leadership to ensure framework will be the standard for all A&P related discussions in regional leadership discussions (BRMs) and corporate leadership discussions (MPRs) going forward.

     

    - Co-lead the Marketing Investment CoE for Finance & Strategy, provide thought leadership, capabilities, analytics to support brands and regions on all aspect of consumer activation investments.

     

    - Own A&P analytics development roadmap

     

    - Drive regional and brand adoption of new A&P analytical approaches

     

    - Upskilling and training for Finance / Marketing

     

    - Support CDMO on enterprise level initiatives under Beauty Reimagined and PRGP

     

    - Be voice of finance and support tracking and analytics on future state marketing operating model

     

    - Own agenda and content for A&P Effectiveness steercos

     

    - Support CFO and CDMO with monthly and ad-hoc A&P/Consumer Facing Investment reporting.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or Economics; MBA preferred.

    • 8+ years in Marketing Strategy, Marketing Finance, Media Investment, or Revenue Growth Management — ideally in beauty, personal care, luxury, or FMCG sectors.

    • Proven success developing and implementing marketing investment frameworks and ROI measurement systems.

    • Strong understanding of marketing channels, from traditional to digital and retail media, and their respective performance levers.

    • Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills; experience with financial estimate and planning in the marketing space, marketing mix modeling (MMM), attribution analysis, or econometrics a plus

    • Exceptional cross-functional influence and communication skills; ability to partner with both creative and financial stakeholders.

    • Strategic thinker with a passion for brand building and data-driven decision-making.
