Responsibilities:

+ Safely operate a tractor-trailer truck or other designated vehicle to transport goods over long distances.

+ Load and unload cargo as needed, using proper handling methods and equipment.

+ Ensure cargo is secured properly according to safety requirements and company policies.

+ Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness.

+ Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving and maintain a clean driving record.

+ Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues.

+ Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery documentation.

+ Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment.

+ Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle issues promptly to management.

Qualifications:

+ Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.

+ Minimum 2 years of experience as a Class A CDL driver preferred.

+ Ability to operate and drive a variety of trucks and trailers.

+ Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards.

+ Excellent physical condition and stamina to meet the demands of long-distance driving.

+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

+ Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with customers and coworkers.

+ High school diploma or equivalent.
