    Job Summary

    The Senior Field Service Technician is responsible for initiating and executing field service activities at customer sites in a safe and efficient manner. This role includes **proactive system troubleshooting** , working with **mechanical, electrical, chemical feed, civil, and storage equipment** , conducting **routine contractual sampling and survey work** , performing **preventive and breakdown maintenance** , maintaining **parts inventory** , completing **cost accounting and field data entry** , and anticipating and correcting safety issues (both company and customer-owned equipment). The technician will interface directly with customers and may work across multiple systems, locations, and technologies within a regional service area. **Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.**

    Core Responsibilities

    + Create and maintain a safe working environment and culture.

    + Learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.

    + Work independently or with minimal supervision as needed.

    + Proactively troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems.

    + Conduct installations and system upgrades.

    + Perform routine sampling, surveys, and data entry.

    + Maintain parts inventory and conduct cost accounting for service activities.

    + Synthesize technical information and communicate it clearly to internal teams and customers.

    Travel Requirements

    + Up to **25% travel**

    + Travel may include overnight stays for project durations.

    Qualifications

    + High School diploma or equivalent.

    + 5+ years of technical work experience in the water industry or related field.

    + Construction or mechanical background highly preferred.

    + Clean driving record.

    + Ability to pass background check and pre-employment drug screen.

    Skills:

    + Experience with **electrical, mechanical, and diesel systems** depending on business unit.

    + Customer service experience.

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Office and smart devices.

    + Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities.

    + Ability to work independently and lead by example.

    + Able to synthesize technical information and derive actionable insights from customer experiences.
